Molly - or Miss Molly, as we came to
call her - was another rescue. We never learned much about her
back story. When we adopted her, she was understandably a bit
timid. Her legs were exceptionally weak - we have a doggy door
with a ramp leading to it. The ramp has a very mild grade.
Initially, Miss Molly's legs would tremble when she climbed the
ramp. Another oddity is that her front teeth were worn almost
to the gums. We think she may have been crated quite a bit,
and we had the impression she prior owner had died or become too
disabled to care for her. Despite everything, Miss Molly
swiftly blossomed and we saw her personality. She was gentle
and a little lady. She loved
scratches and walks, and it didn't take long for her to regain
strength.
