Heeeeeeres Louie! After Boss
passed, we needed some time to grieve. Several months later,
Susan was looking at the available dogs offered at the Arkansas Paws
in Prison program. The picture below was our first
introduction to Louie. We were immediately taken with the
personality shining out of those eyes. As it turns out, Louie
had been found on a street and delivered to a shelter. He was
adopted by a couple, but was surrendered to Last Chance Arkansas
rescue about a month later, and enrolled in the Arkansas Paws
in Prison program. We were able to adopt him about two months
after he was enrolled, when he was about eight months old.
Louie knows a number of commands, including "Sit", "Down", and
"Heel". Remarkably, despite all the turmoil in his young life,
he is open and trusting and just a joy. Oh, and be sure and
click on his pictures to see the full-sized versions - these will
open in a new window. Just close it to return to the page. |
